Making a smoothie is a quick and easy way to get much needed nutrients if you don’t have the time for a full meal. Blueberries, bananas, and orange juice provide loads vitamins and antioxidants, while tofu adds a plant-based source of protein.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup frozen blueberries 

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 1 cup low-fat milk

  • ¼ 16 ounce package silken tofu

  • ½ cup 100% orange juice

  • 1 teaspoon lime juice


Preparation

  1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before you begin cooking. Thoroughly wash all fresh produce.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a blender.

  3. Puree until completely smooth.

  4. Serve immediately.

  5. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.
