This smoothie bowl is low in fat without any added sugars. While the smoothie bowl is delicious and nutritious as-is, try spicing things up with a variety of different toppings to make your bowl unique!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup low-fat milk OR low-fat yogurt

  • 1 cup frozen fruit

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 cup fresh kale OR spinach (optional)

  • 1 cup ice

  • Optional toppings: sliced fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, nut butter, whole-grain granola, shredded unsweetened coconut


Preparation

  1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before you begin cooking. Thoroughly wash all fresh produce.

  2. Combine all ingredients except toppings in the pitcher of blender. Blend on low speed until combined, mixture will be thick. If needed, stop blending, remove blender pitcher from the base, and stir carefully to redistribute ingredients.

  3. Transfer smoothie mix to a bowl and sprinkle with toppings.
