If you're craving a cool drink, mix up a batch of strawberry aguas frescas fora sweet treat! Healthy, delicious, and pretty, this drink is perfect served in pitchers or large jars filled with ice at picnics and outdoor parties. If fresh strawberries aren’t in season, try another in-season (or frozen fruit) to make this recipe your own!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

    • You could also swap with pineapple, mango, kiwifruit, papaya, blueberries or peaches.

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 limes, juiced

  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar (optional)

  • Ice cubes


  • Additional strawberries or f

    resh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)


Preparation

  1. Place strawberries, water, lime juice and agave nectar (if using) in the container of a blender. Process a few seconds until smooth.

  2. Fill 2 large glasses or a small pitcher with ice cubes. Pour aguas frescas into glasses or the entire batch into pitcher.

  3. Garnish with fresh, whole strawberries and mint leaves, if desired.
