With orange juice as the base of the smoothie, this drink is a great way to increase your vitamin C and folate intake. This smoothie also features spinach, which is high in iron - a mineral that iron helps to carry oxygen in the blood. Iron in spinach can be hard to absorb, but pairing it with the vitamin C in orange juice can help!

Ingredients
1 cup 100% orange juice
½ cup (plain or vanilla) low-fat yogurt
1 frozen banana
2 cups fresh spinach
2 cups ice
Preparation
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before you begin cooking. Thoroughly wash all fresh produce.
Add all ingredients to blender and puree until smooth.
Serve immediately. (After a few minutes, smoothie will begin to separate).
